As the Principal with EquiValue Appraisal, Mr. Shirey is responsible for directing all real estate valuation and consulting engagements including:

 

 Commercial and Residential Real Estate Valuations

 Land Highest and Best Use Studies

 Real Estate Market Analysis

 Acquisition Due Diligence

 Advanced Financial Analysis for Project Development

 Construction Progress Payment and Contract Review

 Litigation Support

 

His experience includes appraisal, construction consulting and financial due diligence engagements across Okaloosa, Walton, Santa Rosa and Bay Counties in northwest Florida as well as large scale construction projects throughout the Southeastern United States.

 

Prior to forming EquiValue Appraisal, Mr. Shirey was an appraiser with Marsh Appraisal Corporation, specializing in the valuation of commercial, industrial, residential, and proposed development properties across northwest Florida.

 

In addition to holding an active Florida Real Estate Appraiser License, Mr. Shirey is a State of Florida Certified General Contractor and Licensed Real Estate Broker.

 

Mr. Shirey is a designated Member of the Appraisal Institute (MAI), a designee of the Certified Commercial Investment Member Institute (CCIM), and a Certified Property Manager (CPM) candidate of the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM).

 

Mr. Shirey holds a Master of Science Degree in Real Estate from the University of Denver, as well as a Bachelor of Science Degree in Building Construction Management from the University of Florida.
